2020 donations allocated
Last year we shared the findings of our big survey into freelancing in the sector on two Zooms – one for freelancers and one for sector support organisations, funders and clients. The sessions were free to attend, with voluntary donations encouraged and ringfenced to go towards future diversity, lobbying and campaigning projects. £404 was raised.
Members of the recently formed Museum Freelance Panel which represent a range of voices, experiences and backgrounds voted on how the donations should be spent. They chose to split the donations between three freelancers of colour who contributed their time, lived experience and expertise to shaping meetings of the group of anti-racist cultural freelancers who have been meeting since last year, facilitated by Ruth Garde and Chloe Cooper.
We want to thank everybody who made the donations, large and small, especially in what were very difficult financial circumstances.
